The first direct flight between Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and Lijiang in Southwest China's Yunnan province successfully took off from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport at 6:55 am on April 16.

This new route will greatly facilitate tourism and cultural exchanges between Guizhou and Yunnan. It provides more travel options for passengers in the Guizhou region to visit the "south of colorful clouds", as there is only 1.5 hours of flying time. The flight is operated by an Airbus A320.

From April 16 to 30, the flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. After May 1, the flight will operate every day. Flight GY7255 is scheduled to depart from Guiyang at 6:55 am and arrive at Lijiang Sanyi Airport at 8:25 am. The return flight, GY7256, is scheduled to depart from Lijiang Sanyi Airport at 10:35 am and arrive back in Guiyang at 12:00 pm.

The opening of the Guiyang-Lijiang air route will improve the air transportation network of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, as well as boost the economic development of both provinces.
