Shen Yiqin, deputy secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and governor of Guizhou province, met with Thomas Wagner, honorary president of Gesellschaft Schweiz-China, an NGO established in 1945 that is dedicated to promoting economic and cultural exchanges between China and Switzerland, in Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province, on July 8.

Shen welcomed the Swiss delegation, noting that the good relationship between China and Switzerland has created good conditions for deep cooperation between Guizhou and Switzerland. Shen also expressed that Guizhou has high hopes for strengthening cooperation with Switzerland in the fields of ecological civilization, economy, trade, tourism, and education to promote bilateral relations to a new level.

Wagner said that Guizhou is a province with unique advantages. The cooperation between the two sides is a mutually beneficial strategy. Gesellschaft Schweiz-China will make full use of its role in deepening bilateral exchanges and cooperation, making greater contributions to the friendship between the two countries.
