Linghu Shaohong, a senior official of the high-speed trains departing from Southwest China's Guizhou province, is known for introducing local products from the province's impoverished areas to passengers on his trains.

Linghu is head of train crew of the Guiyang passenger services section of the line and since 2019 his unit has helped to sell products to alleviate penury from Guizhou's several indigent counties.

So far, they have sold over 20 categories of products from Bijie city, Liupanshui city, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture and Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou.

Linghu and his co-workers are not shy about explaining what kind of environment the products come from and describing the region's culture and scenic spots, when introducing the products to the passengers, so as to increase sales.

Linghu also collects opinions and shopping preferences from the passengers during the journeys. As long as there are passengers interested in poverty relief products, he is willing to introduce the products to allow more people to learn about Guizhou.

Linghu said his duty is to sell as many Guizhou products as possible, to contribute to the poverty alleviation in the province.

In future, he will keep promoting high-quality and green Guizhou products to help revitalize the poverty-stricken areas.
