The fifth China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Conference and a series of activities of Colorful Guizhou Miao embroidery were held in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 28.

The conference was first held in 2017 and is China's only intangible cultural heritage event organized by a national industry organization.

At the conference, an exhibition of the 36 creative design works that won at the 2021 cultural creative design competition was held. Miao embroidery related projects were signed and Miao embroideries costumes were exhibited.

Eleven marketing ambassadors for Miao embroidery were selected during the event.

This year, Guizhou established a work team to promote the development of Miao embroidery and integrate it with rural revitalization strategy. At the conference, Chinese companies, designers, and inheritors related to the textile intangible cultural heritage showcased their products, which have great business potential, fashionable elements, practicability, and creativity.
