Guizhou province launches bonded international land port

Updated: June 2, 2022

The new Guiyang bonded international land port under customs supervision – in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – passed the city's customs acceptance on June 1, becoming the first of its kind in the province.

The land port is located in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone and covers a total area of 59,000 square meters. Relying on big data technology, it is integrated with the customs services, inspections and quarantines, as well as port administrative affairs and container transfers, among other things.

The construction of the land port started in middle March and was completed in less than three months. Plans are for it to be connected to the Guiyang International Land Port – which is currently under construction – to boost Guizhou's export-oriented economy.

The Guiyang Free Trade Zone aims to boost technology training, strengthen professional proficiency, improve the quality of its services, attract more high-quality projects and improve the efficiency of its cargo transportation in the future.
