Polluted weather disappears in Guiyang for 435 days

During a low-carbon living activity held by the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment on June 5, it was announced that in May this year, Guiyang's air quality ranked fifth in China.

It has been reported that Guiyang carries out publicity activities every year, such as June 5 Environment Day, Guizhou Ecological Day, and National Low-Carbon Day, and has launched a number of demonstration projects, such as low-carbon communities, villages, parks, institutions and schools, to explore the formation of a number of distinctive low-carbon development models.

Guiyang has not experienced polluted weather since March 24, 2021 – a total of 435 days.

In 2022, the ambient air quality in Guiyang is continuing to improve. As of June 2, the ambient air quality rate was 100 percent, and it has achieved the national secondary standard for the past five years.

Since the beginning of this year, a total of 10 enterprises in Guiyang have carried out the comprehensive treatment of volatile organic compounds in auto repair, spraying, printing and other industries, the ultra-low emissions transformation of two iron and steel enterprises has been promoted in an orderly manner, construction on phase II of a remote sensing monitoring system for black smoke vehicles in Guiyang has been promoted, and the city's atmospheric monitoring, analysis and management system has been developed.
