Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, started upgrading its CCPARK B hall on June 19, which is expected to become the city's first mini resort shopping mall.

The idea of the mini resort is to enable consumers to shop like they are on a vacation by providing a space combining commerce, entertainment and cultural experience.

The project will take two to three months to complete and it will target middle and high-end consumer groups.

CCPARK B hall is located in the city's Guanshanhu district and it covers a total area of 40,000 square meters. It's a commercial complex integrating commerce, leisure, shopping and entertainment, and is also Guizhou's featured commercial block.

When the upgrading is done, CCPARK B hall will reproduce a European cultural atmosphere and plans are for various themed activities to take place, there such as European theater festivals, music festivals and shopping festivals.
