Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province held a sci-tech achievement promotion and investment attraction event in Huaxi University Town on June 15.

The event aims to promote the coordinated development of Guizhou Science City, Guiyang Big Data Sci-tech Innovation City, Huaxi University Town, and Qingzhen Vocational Education City.

It is expected to accelerate the commercialization of sci-tech achievements, improve regional innovation abilities, and provide a targeted and efficient exchange platform for Guiyang and Guian's universities, companies and financial institutions.

During the event, representatives from Guizhou University and Guizhou Minzu University introduced the universities' sci-tech achievements and communicated with company representatives.

Representatives from branches of China Construction Bank, Bank of China, and Bank of Communications introduced their technology finance products to companies and helped companies enhance their innovation capabilities.

As the eighth national new area and a core area of the national big data comprehensive pilot zone, Guian is home to many prestigious universities and a strong big data industry. It has also attracted leading technological talent and is home to various major technology companies.

In the future, Guian will continue to promote the integration of sci-tech innovation and the real economy, enhance cooperation between companies, universities and research institutes, and encourage the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.
