2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week to begin in August

The 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week is set to be held in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 22-28. Guests from China and other countries will attend both online and in person.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, which is the only cooperation and exchange platform themed around education between the governments of China and ASEAN countries.

Focusing on cooperation and exchange in the sustainable development of education, education in the post-pandemic era, innovation and entrepreneurship among youth, and youth cross-cultural communication, this year's education cooperation week will include 39 weekly events and 31 year-round events.

From Aug 22 to 28, an exhibition will be held to showcase the history and achievements of the education cooperation week over the past 15 years. Events such as China-ASEAN cooperation project exhibition, skill cooperation between vocational colleges in China and ASEAN, and cultural exchanges between teenagers in China and ASEAN.

This year's education cooperation week will continue to carry out the Zhi & Xing Guizhou Silk Road Youth Exchange Program, expand Guizhou's popularity among international students, and introduce high-quality educational resources from ASEAN countries.

To boost higher education, China will cooperate with ASEAN to cultivate master’s and doctoral students in engineering, agriculture and medicine, establish international cooperation science research platforms, and set curriculum systems that meet international standards.

The education cooperation week will also help introduce a high-quality vocational education and training system to carry out curriculum development and teacher training and promote the diversified development of higher education from an international perspective.
