Guizhou boosts construction on industrial projects

Updated: July 11, 2022

In recent years, Southwest China's Guizhou province has been promoting the development of characteristic and advantageous industrial clusters, and has started, completed, and put into operation a number of large industrial projects.

As a result, the province's industrial economy has maintained rapid growth, advancing the pace of new-type industrialization.

From January to April this year, the added value of industries above a designated size in the province increased by 13.9 percent year-on-year, becoming the main driver of the province's economic growth.

In promoting the construction of industrial projects, Guizhou has focused on key industrial projects with investment of more than 100 million yuan ($14.91 million) each, and has learned about construction progress through online dispatch and offline research.

For projects under construction, the province has solved difficult problems in the construction process in a timely manner, and striven for greater investment.

The province has also played a guiding role for various funds to ease the financing pressure of enterprises and boost the investment confidence of enterprises.

Guizhou recently rolled out several measures to further accelerate the construction of major projects and expand effective investments, proposing to accelerate the construction of new-type industrialization investment projects.

According to the measures, 60 percent of the new-type industrialization funds and new kinetic energy industry development funds will be invested in emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, batteries and materials, big data and electronic information.
