The 2022 Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan digital talent development forum was held in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 14. Experts from more than 30 colleges and universities in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing attended the forum and shared their thoughts.

At the forum, experts shared their opinions on university development, cooperation between universities and companies, and the integrated development of industries and education. The guests also visited Huawei's global training center in Guian.

The training center started operating in 2021 and has held more than 227 classes with 7,000 people so far.

In recent years, Guian has seen the rapid development of data centers and built seven data centers with a total paid-up investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion).

In 2022, Guizhou received approval to start construction on a national computing power hub node and became a key part of China's "Eastern Data and Western Computing" project.
