Guiyang reports 5.5% growth in industries in Jan-Sept

In the first three quarters of this year, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, saw stable industrial production, with the added value of its industries above a designated size growing by 5.5 percent year-on-year.

During this period, the added value of the manufacturing industry of China's centrally administered State-owned enterprises in Guiyang increased by 5.6 percent, increasing the added value of industries above a designated size by 2.7 percentage points.

The added value of the city's seven key industries increased by 11.5 percent, increasing the added value of industries above a designated size by 4.9 percentage points.

The seven industries in Guiyang are advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, electronic information manufacturing, aluminum and aluminum processing, the phosphorus chemical industry, ecological specialty food, and health and medicine.

Due to an expansion in the production of batteries and their supporting industries, the electronic information industry above a designated size reported rapid growth, with its added value rising by 49.1 percent year-on-year.
