The 2022 Colorful Guizhou Culture and Art Festival started in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 15.

The festival aims to showcase Guizhou's rich ethnic culture and present excellent performances and artworks. During the festival, performance tours, art competitions, symphony concerts and operas will be held.

The performance tours are held by Guizhou's theatrical company at scenic spots in an effort to attract more tourists. From Oct 22 to 27, performers from Guizhou Lantern Theater gave dancing, singing and opera performances in Zunyi's Wujiang Village scenic spot and were warmly received by tourists.

During the festival, 10 plays from Guizhou and six plays from other provinces and areas will be held. Internationally-famous conductors and soloists will also hold eight symphony concerts.
