Development zones in Guizhou maintain strong industrial development trend

In the first three quarters of this year, the industrial economy of development zones in Southwest China's Guizhou province continued to develop strongly, according to a news conference held on Nov 30.

During the period, the number of industrial enterprises within the jurisdiction of the 99 provincial-level monitoring development zones accounted for more than 80 percent of the province's total.

Since the beginning of this year, development zones in Guizhou have cultivated a number of leading enterprises and created a number of large-scale, highly-efficient, and competitively advantageous industrial chains, accelerating the rate of industrial clustering.

In the first half of the year, a total of 855 investment promotion projects were signed into effect, a year-on-year increase of 44.6 percent, with a total investment of 299.8 billion yuan ($42.93 billion), a year-on-year increase of 35.6 percent.

This year, the province has also increased funding and policy support in order to accelerate the improvement of the functional advantages of the development zones.

In 2022, the province's park infrastructure sector received 9.47 billion yuan in special bond support, accounting for one-fifth of the province's total.
