The C6031 high-speed train, which features images related to Guizhou's winter tourism, departed from Guiyang North Railway Station on Jan 7, the first day of this year's Spring Festival travel rush.

The train, featuring ice and snow decorations, carried 607 passengers to Liupanshui, which is famous for its winter sports.

Passengers got to experience the skiing equipment on the train and learn about skiing and scenic spots along the way from train attendants.

He Yuxing, a tourist from North China's Inner Mongolia, said that it was his first time visiting Guizhou, and he's looking forward to skiing in Liupanshui.

According to Li Xiaolin, conductor of the train, the train route passes by five out of Guizhou's six ski slopes, and about one-third of the passengers on the train were heading for Liupanshui's ski slopes.

During the holiday travel rush, more themed trains will be operated in Guizhou to provide convenience for passengers and attract more people to participate in winter sports.
