After online inspection, briefings, and discussions, the Guiyang intellectual property protection center in Southwest China's Guizhou province was accepted by experts from the China National Intellectual Property Administration on Jan 11.

The center will open a green channel for the rapid review of high-end equipment manufacturing and a new generation of information technology patents in Guiyang and Guian New Area.

With the green channel, the licensing of invention patents will be shortened from 22 months to six months. The licensing of utility model patents will be shortened from eight months to two months, and the licensing of design patents will be shortened to seven working days as well.

The center will invite courts, public security and arbitration departments to set up service windows and offices there. The center will offer training courses to enhance awareness of intellectual property, and provide convenient and efficient services to companies.

When the center is put into operation, it will provide various services, such as intellectual property creation, application, protection and management. In addition, it will accelerate the commercialization of patent technologies, promote the high-quality development of new industrial manufacturing, and optimize the business environment in the city.
