A ceremony for the reveal of the 2022-23 China beautiful life cities was held in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, on May 5.

Guiyang was listed as one of the 10 most "beautiful cities" in China.

The ceremony was initiated by the China Central Radio and Television Station's financial program center. The data and survey results of China's beautiful life cities are released at the ceremony.

Guiyang is the first national forest city in China, a pilot city for the circular economy, and is known as the summer resort of China. It has ranked at the top of the list of the "Top Ten Summer Resorts in China".

Guiyang enjoys an average annual temperature of 15 C. It has moderate winters and summers and a relative humidity of between 76 and 79 percent.

Guiyang boasts one national 5A-level scenic spot, 22 national 4A-level scenic spots, and 12 national 3A-level scenic spots. Tourism activities such as camping, hiking, and cycling are gaining popularity in the city.

In February 2022, the "Eastern Data and Western Computing" project was fully launched, and Guiyang and Guian New Area have become one of 10 national data center clusters to be prioritized for development.

In 2022, Guiyang saw 100-percent good air quality, ranking fifth among 168 key cities across the country and third among provincial capitals. The city plans to ensure that the annual environmental air quality stays over 95 percent in 2023.

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport has opened 228 domestic routes and 25 international routes, serving 108 domestic and 24 international cities. The region's efficient and convenient transportation network enables quick access to various destinations, including bus and train stations, airports, service centers, and scenic spots.
