During the first half of this year, the Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province successfully added 1,304 new market entities, accounting for 65.2 percent of its annual target.

Among the 2,238 newly registered market players, 1,115 were enterprises, 1,120 were individual business owners, and three were rural cooperatives.

The majority of the newly registered market players were from wholesale, retail, accommodation, catering businesses and the for-profit service industry, accounting for 28.95 percent and 10.81 percent of the total.

So far, Guian's market entity number has reached 25,615.
