To enrich children's cultural life and promote traditional Chinese culture, the Guiyang Children's Library held a tea ceremony event on Aug 6, with 30 families participating.

Before the event, children were dressed in traditional Hanfu costumes prepared by their teachers, highlighting the ancient nature of this time-honored custom. One teacher introduced white tea, including its place of origin, and its classification.

As this event was held in summer, the teacher also imparted knowledge about lotus flowers through a video, and brought some real lotus flowers to the class so the kids were able to understand the structure and characteristics of the flower more deeply using their senses of smell, touch and sight.

Then, accompanied by some classical music, the teacher led the children to learn more about the art and etiquette of China's tea culture, allowing them to experience the elegant summer pastimes of ancient times. During the event, many of the kids expressed their love and enthusiasm for the tea ceremony.
