Contracts worth 23.5b yuan signed in Guian during Jan-July

In the first seven months of the year, 33 agreements for new projects were signed in Guian New Area, with a total contract value of 23.5 billion yuan ($3.24 billion), according to a press conference held on Sept 7.
During this period, enterprises such as Huawei Cloud, Tencent Digital, and Rollone Technology Co experienced rapid growth, and the area saw a 22-percent increase in revenue for the internet and related services sector.
Development of new energy vehicles, batteries, and material production bases was expedited, with companies like BYD, Zhongke Electric, and Hengli Group increasing production capacity. The output value of the new energy vehicle, battery, and materials industry has reached 3.29 billion yuan, a growth of 430.2 percent.
Projects like Chery's finished vehicle manufacturing base and China Railway's new energy equipment were being expedited, resulting in an output value of 1.39 billion yuan for the advanced equipment manufacturing industry, an increase of 23.3 percent.
With the goal of developing into an important economic driver of West China, Guian also promoted innovation-driven development. A number of scientific research projects landed in the Guiyang Big Data Science and Technology Innovation City, including Wujiang Laboratory of Tsinghua University, the Green Industry Technology Research Institute of Southern University of Science and Technology, and the Guian Branch of the National Engineering Center for Big Data.
