The air quality assessment results for August in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were released on Sept 12, and Wudang district was the best performer in the city.

The rankings are as follows, from best to worst: Wudang district, the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Kaiyang county, the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, Guanshanhu district, Baiyun district, Yunyan district, Huaxi district, Qingzhen city, the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Nanming district, Xiuwen county, Xifeng county, and the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone.

According to the evaluation results and the national standards for ambient air quality, all districts and zones in Guiyang enjoyed good air quality every day in August. And the main pollutant of each county and district is ozone.
