Advance Tyre (Vietnam) Co is the largest Chinese enterprise to have taken up residence inside the Long Jiang Industrial Park in Vietnam's Tien Giang province. Its tires were shipped from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to North America this month.

Advance Tyre is a subsidiary of Guizhou Tyre Co, which has its headquarters in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

To actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Guizhou Tyre initiated its Vietnam project in Tien Giang province in December 2019, establishing a dual-base production model in China and abroad.

In March, Guizhou Tyre Co held its annual overseas dealer conference for the first time, making full use of its Vietnamese factory. More than 60 dealers from over 30 countries and regions, including the UK and the Netherlands, visited Advance Tyre's Phase I and II projects in Vietnam.

During the conference, a North American dealer signed an on-site order for 300,000 tires.

"Our Phase I project of 1.2 million all-steel radial truck tires is in full production, and the Phase II project of 950,000 high-performance all-steel radial tires is currently in the equipment installation phase, with full production expected by the end of the year," said Fu Hongjiang, deputy general manager of Advance Tyre (Vietnam) Co, who was sent to work there from Guizhou Tyre Co.

Fu said the Vietnamese factory not only employs independently developed all-steel radial tire design and manufacturing technology but also applies an advanced digital production system.

The focus is on creating a demonstration project for automation, intelligence, and informatization in Vietnam.

The establishment and development of Advance Tyre (Vietnam) not only facilitates the opening-up of Guizhou's manufacturing to the outside world, but also aids local development in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese factory has provided over 1,000 jobs in Quang Chau province, with Vietnamese employees accounting for 95 percent of its workforce.

Over the past three years, the factory has trained more than 100 Vietnamese talents, including managers and supervisors.
