Two incubators in Guiyang, namely the "Guiyang Science City Science and Technology Company Incubator" and the "Hangchuang Longxiang Science and Technology Incubator," recently made the list of national-level science and technology company incubators for 2022, which was announced by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In recent years, the Guiyang Bureau of Science and Technology has taken a series of measures to support the development of science and technology company incubators. These include strengthening policy support, optimizing platform construction, ensuring proper space planning, and enhancing cooperation and exchanges.

For example, it has increased efforts to cultivate incubators and maker spaces, granting subsidies of 800,000 yuan, 500,000 yuan, and 300,000 yuan to newly recognized national-level, provincial-level, and city-level incubators, respectively.

It also provides subsidies of 500,000 yuan, 300,000 yuan, and 200,000 yuan to newly recognized national-level, provincial-level, and city-level maker spaces.

Every year, it carries out operational evaluations of science and technology company incubators and maker spaces at the city level and above, granting a maximum evaluation subsidy of 200,000 yuan to incubators and 150,000 yuan to maker spaces.

From 2020 to 2022, a total of 10.6 million yuan was allocated for recognition subsidies and 6.24 million yuan for operational evaluation subsidies.

There are currently a total of 125 science and technology company incubators (maker spaces) at the city level or above in Guiyang, including six national-level incubators and 18 national-level maker spaces, 14 provincial-level incubators, and 35 provincial-level maker spaces.

These incubators and maker spaces help promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, conducting scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and developing Guiyang into a hub of scientific and technological innovation and a preferred place of innovation for industrial sectors such as big data and the phosphorus chemical industry.
