On Dec 8 at 14:20, flight AQ1201 departed from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, carrying 173 tourists to Phuket Island, Thailand. After more than six months, this marked the resumption of direct flights from Guiyang to Phuket Island.

The flight was operated by 9 Air and was scheduled to operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

In March of this year, international passenger flights from Guizhou to Phuket Island were reopened but were suspended in mid-April.

With the onset of the winter season, tropical island vacations gained popularity among tourists. Travel agencies in Guiyang experienced a surge in inquiries from customers seeking information about flights to Phuket Island.

To provide more convenience for travelers from Guizhou, the direct flight between Guiyang and Phuket Island was resumed once again.
