Holiday boosts cultural, tourism consumption in Guiyang

During the Spring Festival holiday, Guiyang organized over 200 activities, including lantern festivals, temple fairs, roadside concerts, exhibitions, and street events in scenic areas, boosting cultural and tourism consumption.

According to preliminary estimates, during this period, the total number of tourists to Guiyang increased by 80.2 percent year-on-year, and comprehensive tourism revenue increased by 92.63 percent year-on-year, increasing 157.75 percent and 169.47 percent, respectively, over the Spring Festival holiday in 2019.

The top three districts, cities and counties in terms of tourist arrivals were Huaxi district, Yunyan district, and Nanming district. The top five scenic spots were Qianlingshan Park with 590,000 visits, Huaxi Wetland Park with 360,500 visits, Qingyan Ancient Town with approximately 330,000 visits, Qingzhen Shiguang Guizhou Scenic Area with 170,000 visits, and Hebin Park with 170,000 visits.

With its unprecedented scale and unique design, the Guanshanhu Lantern Festival Temple Fair attracted tens of thousands of visitors, with a daily visitor flow of up to 70,000.
