The signing ceremony for the Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Weixing Super Intelligent Fusion Computing Power Center Project was held on Feb 22, involving the Gui'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone (Machang Industrial New City and Shenzhen-Gui'an Industrial Park), the Guizhou Branch of the National Supercomputer Guangzhou Center and two enterprises.

The event marks an auspicious start to the first quarter of 2024 for Gui'an and serves as is the most important project to be officially confirmed in the Gui'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone this year.

The project expected to receive a total investment of approximately 3 billion yuan ($416.70 million) and have a computing power of 5120P. According to the National Supercomputer Guangzhou Center, it is expected to launch in April and start production and business cooperation before June.

The project will further promote the deep integration of the industrial chain, innovation chain, and talent chain, thereby supporting the integrated development of scientific and technological innovation, digital economy, and computing power in Guiyang and Gui'an.

It will also contribute to overall progress and strengthen cooperation with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in various fields, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of Guiyang and Gui'an.
