Since becoming the eighth national-level new area in January 2014, Gui'an New Area in Guizhou province has spared no effort in accelerating the construction of modern industries, leading to strong results.

Gui'an is nurturing and expanding a group of advantageous and distinctive industrial chain projects aimed at channeling computing resources from the east to the west.

In 2023, Gui'an released 200 high-quality applications, attracting 816 big data-related enterprises, with the revenue in the internet, software, and information technology service industry expected to exceed 53 billion yuan ($7.36 billion).

In addition to accelerating the construction of computing power bases, Gui'an is also speeding up the construction of new energy vehicle, battery, and material production bases, striving to build industrial clusters in electronic information manufacturing, software and information technology services, and new energy and new materials industries.

Companies continue to gather. Since last year, Gui'an has worked to attract investment in the industrial chain, focusing on power batteries, energy storage batteries, and photovoltaic batteries, actively introducing upstream and downstream supporting enterprises. In 2023, the output value of the new energy vehicle, battery, and materials industry reached 6.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 272.4 percent.
