Flowers bloom in every corner of Guiyang and Gui'an

As flowers bloom in March, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have transformed into beautiful gardens, attracting a number of locals and visitors.

In Guiyang's Wudang district, Shangba village has planted nearly 5,000 mu (333.33 hectares) of plum trees over the years. With plum blossoms now in bloom, more than 60,000 visitors have recently flocked to the village for the gorgeous sea of white flowers. On weekends, vehicles line up for miles to enter the village, and the village's three agritainment businesses are thriving.

"At first, we planted plums just to sell the fruits. We didn't expect the flowers to be so popular. It feels like our village has become a scenic spot," exclaimed a local villager.

Meanwhile, in Guiyang's Baiyun district, the Moly Town Scenic Area has also witnessed the blooming of various flowers. Plum trees started blooming in early March, while peach trees entered their flowering season at the end of March. The peach trees are expected to be in bloom until the end of April.

The wisteria flowers in the scenic area will start blooming in April, at which time the cherry blossoms will also be in full bloom. Both locals and tourists will find visiting the scenic area to enjoy the flowers during this period truly worthwhile.

In addition, with the increasing number of visitors to Huaxi district's parks and scenic spots, the district has been working to ensure safety and enhancing visitors' experiences.

In the district's Gaopo township, Yao Zhihong, director of Gaopo Police Station, led police on patrol to a local camping site, reminding tourists there to be mindful of fire and traffic safety.

The district has also made efforts to provide timely consultations, guidance and other assistance to tourists, guide merchants to operate with integrity and eliminate behaviors such as temporary price hikes and cheating customers, ensuring that tourists can have the best possible traveling experience.
