More than 150 Thai tourists visited Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park in Southwest China's Guizhou province, on March 14, coinciding with the initial flowering period of cherry blossoms.

This was the first Thai tourist group to Guiyang through direct flights after the mutual visa exemption between China and Thailand took effect on March 1. The group included 22 travel agents from agencies such as TTN Plus Travel and FIN Trip Travel, the two largest travel agencies in Thailand.

Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park, once acclaimed by foreign media outlets as one of the most beautiful cherry blossom gardens on Earth, attracts significant attention domestically and internationally every spring.

"In the end of last year, through Guizhou's travel agencies, we learned about Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park," said a representative of Thai tour company Tourgether. Due to the hot climate in Thailand not being suitable for cherry blossom trees, many Thai people are curious about Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park. "We will promote Guizhou through on-site promotion and videos after returning to Thailand," the representative added.

"For us, cherry blossoms are something new," said Kanokpha, a travel agent from Thailand, who visited Guizhou for the first time. She found the cool climate comfortable, and was impressed by the sight of white cherry blossoms. "In addition, Guizhou's red sour soup and Thailand's Tom Yum Goong have similarities and differences, but both are flavors we love."

From March 11 to 14, Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park received 23 batches of tour groups from Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.
