An event promoting tourism in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, took place in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, on April 1.

This event was organized by the Guiyang municipal bureau of culture and tourism to showcase Guiyang's abundant cultural and tourist attractions and stimulate Guiyang's tourism market, as well as facilitate cooperation between Guiyang and Hefei in various fields.

Yan Ping, deputy secretary-general of the Hefei municipal government, remarked that although Guiyang boasts unique mountain and water scenery distinct from Hefei, both cities have a rich cultural heritage.

Hefei excels in scientific innovation and is also renowned for its science education tourism. In recent years, Hefei has been refining its science education tourism products, aiming to become a nationally-influential destination in this field.

Yan said she hopes for strengthened cooperation between the two cities so that they can achieve higher quality development in their cultural and tourism industries.

At the promotional event, Hu Lin, director of the Guiyang municipal bureau of culture and tourism, introduced Guiyang's tourism attractions, and warmly invited attendees to appreciate flowers in spring, escape the heat in summer, and try different specialties in Guiyang, experiencing its unique charm.
