They experienced the horsetail embroidery of the Sui ethnic group – a national intangible cultural heritage item known as the "living fossil" of Chinese embroidery, and explored various unique and creative stores. They also experienced a distinctive long table feast featuring local dishes such as siwawa and spicy chicken.

In the evening, a roadside music concert started with the vibrant chorus of classic French songs by both French visitors and Chinese locals. At the end, people chanted a popular new Chinese song called "Shangchunshan".

Held in celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, this event not only showcased Guiyang's dynamism to French visitors, but also strengthened the friendship between the two countries.

"It's a lively city with many delicious foods and interesting things and a climate as comfortable as France's. The people living here must be very happy," one of the French visitors remarked.
