The 2024 China Industrial Transfer & Development Matchmaking Activities kicked off in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 21. It is the first national-level industrial matchmaking event ever to be held in Guizhou.
During the event, a total of 298 project contracts were inked, with the contract value exceeding 320 billion yuan ($40 billion). The projects involve fields such as resource-intensive processing, new energy vehicles, tourism equipment, energy and mining equipment, and ecological food.
To transform Guizhou's mineral resource advantages into development strengths, six resource-intensive processing project agreements were signed, with a planned investment of 16.06 billion yuan. Ten energy and mining equipment project agreements were also signed. In 2023, Guizhou had 220 enterprises of this kind, with an output value exceeding 30 billion yuan.
Given its status as an important national energy base, Guizhou is striving to develop its new energy vehicle industry. In light of this, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area signed contracts for projects worth 28.2 billion yuan at the event, including automotive parts manufacturing, intelligent equipment production, and new energy storage pack and electric charging pile manufacturing.
Moreover, to further foster specialty food industries, Guizhou reached agreements on 63 cooperative projects with national industry associations, key research institutions, and nationwide food enterprises, with a total investment of 24.3 billion yuan.
The event convinced enterprises in various industries to cooperate with Guizhou, supporting the high-quality development of the province's new industrialization.
