The Mineral Energy Telaidian Guizhou Science City Photovoltaic-Charge-Storage-Discharge-Inspection Demonstration Station – a charging station funded and built by Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group Co – was recently completed and put into operation in Baiyun district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

New energy vehicles entered the charging station and accessed the charger by scanning QR codes. The charging process takes only half an hour to finish.

The charging station is the first of its kind in Guiyang. Through a new energy microgrid system that integrates vehicle energy storage and photovoltaic power generation, it is possible to provide charging services while also sending energy from the vehicle batteries back to the grid. This helps balance the grid load, achieve intelligent and orderly charging and discharging, and enhance the consumption of clean energy and the utilization of existing distribution network resources.

The station offers 16 photovoltaic canopy parking spaces, equipped with 12 DC fast-charging terminals, four V2G (vehicle-to-grid) charging and discharging terminals, and a 30-kilowatt power storage battery system. It can simultaneously support the charging of 16 new energy vehicles. Owners can also take advantage of the "charge at low prices, discharge at high prices" model to achieve low-cost vehicle maintenance.

Sun Linli, deputy general manager of Guiyang Mineral Energy Telaidian Charging Network Operation Co – a subsidiary of Guiyang Mineral Energy Group, said that moving forward, the company will accelerate the construction of charging infrastructure in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, allowing people to charge their vehicles with affordable, reliable, and fast electricity right at their doorstep.
