Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will select 20 outstanding young people to embark on a cultural exchange trip to Fort Worth, the US, in July 2025, while a youth delegation from Fort Worth will also visit Guiyang in June of the same year to promote friendly interaction and deeper understanding between youth from the two cities.

In July, five high school students led by the Guiyang Foreign Affairs participated in the 2024 International Leadership Summer Camp in Fort Worth. The students studied international leadership courses and shared Guiyang's unique culture and cuisine during their 11-day trip, establishing deep friendships with local students.

Since Guiyang arranged for the first group of middle school students to participate in the International Leadership Summer camp in Fort Worth in 2011, the two cities have jointly organized seven batches of over 120 students and leaders to visit each other's cities as youth emissaries and city representatives.

The two cities also won the China Friendship City Exchange and Cooperation award and Sino-US Friendship City award issued by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Moving forward, Guiyang will launch more high-quality youth exchange programs to deepen cooperation with Fort Worth and inject new vitality into the development of Sino-US relations.
