Guiyang airport's passenger throughput achieves breakthrough

On Nov 13, 2024, the passenger throughput of Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Southwest China's Guizhou province reached 20.02 million, 4.08 percent higher than that in 2019.

The Longdongbao Airport's passenger throughput first exceeded 10 million in 2013, when it reached 10.47 million. It then increased to 15.11 million in 2016, 18.11 million in 2017, 20.1 million in 2018, and 21.91 million in 2019, entering the elite ranks of domestic airports with over 20 million passengers annually.

In 2024, the Longdongbao Airport set a new record for daily passenger throughput seven times. The peak daily passenger throughput occurred on Aug 23, when it saw 82,400 passengers, and the peak daily take-offs and landings occurred on Aug 16, with 548 movements.

Longdongbao Airport operates scheduled flights for 44 airlines, with 199 routes, including 184 domestic passenger routes, one domestic cargo route, and 10 international passenger routes.

As of Nov 13, the airport has served a total of 83,400 international passengers and restored flights to 13 international cities including Osaka, Hanoi, and Bangkok. In addition, direct flights to Singapore and Osaka will be launched on Nov 15 and 29, respectively.
