As winter approaches, Gui'an New Area of Southwest China's Guizhou province is leveraging its resource advantages to stimulate the winter tourism market by finding new ways to entice tourists.

For instance, the Yunman Lake Scenic Area has been holding sporting events and cultural and tourism activities. The 2024 Guiyang-Gui'an Road Cycling Race was held on Nov 30, with 800 cycling enthusiasts from both inside and outside the province racing along Yunman Lake.

The rugged canyons, tranquil lakes, and mysterious caves of the Wenxian Valley Scenic Area in Chetian village have attracted many visitors seeking unique experiences. As the Chinese New Year approaches, the scenic area is planning a diverse array of activities, such as a Spring Festival market and themed park tours, offering tourists festive joy even in winter.

In addition, Gui'an has organized a variety of distinctive cultural and tourism activities, including roadside concerts, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, local opera performances, specialty food tasting, and handicraft workshops, enriching the spiritual and cultural lives of residents and tourists alike.
