On Jan 14, Guizhou Tyre Co in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made the 2025 Global Lighthouse Network list released by World Economic Forum (WEF), becoming the first company in China's tire industry to be included on the list.

In recent years, Guizhou Tyre has carried out a comprehensive digital upgrade of its production manufacturing systems, implementing over 40 solutions for Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as AI simulation design and development, data predictive analysis, natural language large models, and specialized algorithm models. As a result, the company's quality defects have decreased by 57 percent, labor productivity has increased by 68 percent, and inventory levels have decreased by 34 percent, enhancing its manufacturing agility and quality control.

Global Lighthouse Network is a WEF initiative in collaboration with McKinsey at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2018. Companies on the list are required to have at least five world-class leading technology applications while making impressive progress in environmental protection, energy conservation, and resource recycling. China's 72 lighthouse factories currently account for 42 percent of the global total, more than any other country, and cover industries such as electronics, automotive, chemicals, and textiles.
