The City Football Invitational Tournament Guiyang 2025 will be launched on Sept 19 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. The event was initiated by Guiyang, attracting 15 cities across the country, including Beijing, Handan, and Chongqing, to confirm their participation.

The event features group stages, knockout stages and qualifying races. Over the course of seven days, 48 matches will take place at three venues: Guiyang Olympic Sports Center, Guiyang Vocational and Technical College, and Guizhou Open University. The champion will be determined on Sept 25 at the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center.

The event serves as a vibrant stage for grassroots football, with a clear prohibition on professional players. Participants are all amateur football players, including company staff members, freelancers, students, traffic police, firefighters, youth training coaches, and more.

Additionally, cities are invited to give special performances such as Sichuan opera face-changing and Guiyang road concerts at the event. Around the venue, dozens of "city-themed market" stalls allow people to taste delicious food from across the country while immersing themselves in the competition's exciting atmosphere.
