Pingtan village is the main kiwi production area in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. By 2025, kiwi planting will cover 12,000 mu (800 hectares), forming a large-scale, standardized pattern. Kiwi output is projected to surpass 10 million kilograms, making up 10 percent of the county's total and valued over 120 million yuan ($16.8 million).

The "online orders + direct express delivery" model boosted Pingtan's kiwi sales nationwide. Guo Xiaohong, a long-time planter, said, "Now we get orders via e-commerce, and the village's express station ships directly, cutting out middlemen and increasing profits". With over 30 years of kiwi cultivation, his nearly 20 mu orchard produces over 5,000 kg annually, earning tens of thousands of yuan – much more than farming corn.

As a key kiwi production area in Guizhou, Xiuwen uses its natural advantages and supports high-end, branded growth through policies, technology, and branding. Xiuwen's kiwis are now sold domestically and internationally, boosting rural vitalization.
