A national-level logistic hub grows in Guiyang

As of September, the total number of logistics companies in the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Guiyang, has increased to over 300, a year-on-year growth of 12.6 percent. Among these, there are 29 large-scale enterprises, with a year-on-year revenue growth of 12.02 percent.
By 2024, the number of large-scale road transport enterprises increased from three to 12, while multimodal transport enterprises increased to two. In addition, loading, unloading, and warehousing enterprises expanded from none to four. That year, the total logistics revenue of the economic zone exceeded 15 billion yuan ($2.11 billion). Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport handled 22.31 million passengers, a 31.53 percent rise over 2021; cargo and mail throughput reached 106,600 metric tons, increasing by 31.44 percent compared to 2022. These developments significantly bolstered the growth of the logistics industry.
By 2024, the economic zone had drawn over 20 major logistics projects, with a total investment of 12.1 billion yuan. Of these, 14 projects have been finished and are operational, covering more than 1 million square meters of warehouse space. Eight logistics parks have been constructed and are active, attracting industry-leading companies such as SF Express, YTO Express, Cainiao, and Kweichow Moutai to establish their presence.
