Guiyang and Gui'an see industrial boom during 14th Five-Year Plan period

Throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), industrial development in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, progressed steadily.
Guizhou Aviation Technical Development Co established China's first fully automated production line for aerospace ring forgings, joining the supply chains of six top global civil aviation engine manufacturers.
Guizhou Tyre Co made the 2025 Global Lighthouse Network list, becoming the first company in China's tire industry to receive this recognition.
Power battery giant CATL established the world's most advanced and automated cell production line in Gui'an.
The driverless cars produced by Pix Moving were sold in over 30 countries and regions, positioning the company among the top players in the global autonomous driving industry.
Geely Guiyang base became the city's first private enterprise with a revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion), while Chery&Wanda buses were exported to 20 countries and regions worldwide.
The Hengli (Guiyang) Industrial Park emerged and filled the gap in the high-end textile fabric industry in Southwest China.
In the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guiyang's total industrial output exceeded 400 billion yuan. The city incubated five enterprises with revenues exceeding 10 billion yuan, 13 enterprises with revenues over 5 billion yuan, and 56 enterprises with revenues over 1 billion yuan. It also fostered 407 provincial-level specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises, and 704 provincial-level innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
During the period, a matrix consisting of one 50 billion yuan-level and nine 10 billion yuan-level development zones was developed in the city. Additionally, Guiyang established 40 national-level green factories and nine green industrial parks, while also nurturing a batch of green supply chain enterprises and "zero-carbon factories".
