The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Guiyang Committee's in-depth research, inspections, and consultations contributed to the high-quality development of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in 2025.
The CPPCC Guiyang Committee oversaw the handling of 171 proposals to address public challenges and improve livelihoods. Among these, a proposal to establish more farmer-friendly bus routes was supported by the Guiyang transportation committee and Guiyang Public Transport Co, leading to optimized bus routes, improved infrastructure, and the addition of 33 new "beneficial for the people" bus lines, bringing the total to 39.
The CPPCC Guiyang Committee promoted "community" and "courtyard" consultations, resolving more than 280 livelihood issues. For example, due to the lack of elevators on the pedestrian bridge at the south gate of Guanshanhu Park, residents faced travel inconveniences. In response, the CPPCC Guiyang Committee conducted research and initiated community consultations, advancing the installation of elevators and improvements to accessibility features. New pedestrian bridge elevators were then put into use on Jan 12, 2025.
For industrial parks, the CPPCC Guiyang Committee held 16 "park consultations" to address 14 issues related to guarantees of production factors and social services for enterprises. In the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, these park consultations resolved problems such as inaccessible roads and insufficient nighttime water supply.
The CPPCC Guiyang Committee also launched the "five partnerships, five assistance" initiative, focusing on connecting with villages to support rural vitalization, linking with communities to enhance grassroots governance, partnering with enterprises to address challenges, engaging with youth to promote employment and entrepreneurship, and assisting vulnerable groups to improve livelihoods. More than 1,000 activities were conducted in 2025, resolving over 500 issues and providing aid to over 4,300 individuals.
