The fifth plenary of the 13th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Guiyang Committee and the sixth plenary of the 15th Guiyang Municipal People's Congress opened on Jan 18 and 19, respectively.

Shi Banglin, chairman of the CPPCC Guiyang Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the standing committee of the 13th CPPCC Guiyang Committee.

Xiang Yang, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Guiyang Committee, reported to the plenary on the situation of proposed work since the fourth plenary of the 13th CPPCC Guiyang Committee. In the past year, a total of 455 proposals were received, and after review, 401 were accepted for filing, with all filed proposals handled and replied to by December.

The sixth plenary of the 15th Guiyang Municipal People's Congress reviewed the government work report of Guiyang, the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Draft Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Guiyang, and the report on the implementation of Guiyang's 2025 national economic and social development plan. It also evaluated Guiyang's 2026 national economic and social development draft, the report on the implementation of Guiyang's 2025 municipal financial budget, and Guiyang's 2026 municipal financial budget draft.
