Updated: May 11, 2026

The World Boxing Cup China 2026 will kick off in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from June 15 to 21.

This event features 20 weight categories for both men and women, attracting elite athletes from 54 countries and regions across five continents, including many Olympic, world, and continental champions. The Chinese national team will field 19 athletes, with Guizhou natives Yang Chengyu, Wu Yu, Zhang Jiamao, and Mo Changning representing the country.

Renowned male boxer Zhang Jiamao is in top form, winning the men's 55 kilograms championship at the World Boxing Cup Brazil 2026 last month. The victory marks the first time in many years that a Guizhou male boxer has reached the podium at a world-class event.
