After learning in detail about the development and application achievements of Guizhou's big data industry, Colombian journalist Simon Posada considered whether these technologies could also be applied in Latin America. He said that, due to its location on the equator, Latin America has a unique climate with rapid weather changes. "If we could accurately predict climate and weather, it would greatly benefit agricultural development, disaster prevention, and residents' lives." In his view, Guizhou's big data technology is exactly what Latin America needs.
Additionally, Simon Posada talked about the security challenges facing Colombia. "Whether in urban or jungle areas, issues like drug trafficking and illegal mining have long existed." He stated that if Guizhou's big data technology could be applied to crime prevention, using data monitoring and intelligent analysis for early warnings, it would be highly effective in reducing crime.
Before coming to Guizhou, Simon Posada did some online research and learned that Guizhou was once a relatively underdeveloped region in Southwest China, but it has undergone tremendous changes in recent years. He was very surprised by this and eager to understand the secret behind its success. "Latin America faces similar development challenges to those Guizhou once encountered. I hope to share Guizhou's development experiences when I return home," he said.
