The work "Yelang Valley" by Guiyang artist Song Peilun won an award at the Salon Des Beaux Arts 2025.

Song spent 30 years creating a stone art kingdom in Huaxi, blending karst landscapes with Yelang culture and featuring ancient sculptures and thatched cottages that transport visitors back to the ancient Yelang Kingdom. The artist's quirky artistic expressions have inspired a range of unique cultural and creative products.

What would these products look like if they "grew up"? Under the towering ancient trees, numerous giant masks built from stones, pottery shards, and discarded clay pots rise layer upon layer. Their expressions are bizarre yet full of spirit, as if they might start speaking at any moment.
